Welcome to God's House!

A Note from Brother Bruce

The early days of the history of the church right after its beginnings in the power of the Holy Spirit were days of joy. They were days of love.  They were days of sharing, days of fellowship.  In fact, the joy was all but overwhelming; the love was all inclusive and deep. The testimony of the church was loud and clear.  And the result, of course, of all of this was explosive. Many people were saved. However, when sin entered the camp in Acts 5, the Lord demonstrated His desire for His church to be pure by swift judgment. Allow the Lord to work in your heart today for purity, and the Spirit will demonstrate His Power!

A Note from Gavin

At Flint Hill, we believe corporate worship is largely praise, remembrance, ordinance, and sacrifice in response to the goodness and mercy of God in Christ. We believe worship should be grounded in and full of the truth of scripture. To that end, we purpose to honor the Lord not only through our weekly gathering, but through creative events that highlight important events in Scripture. One such event, the Last Supper, is being dramatically depicted on Saturday, April 3rd, in what we are calling "The Living Lord's Supper." Be sure to check the sidebar for information leading up to the event.

Life on the Hill

We have Life Groups every Sunday at 9:45am for students and up. We have an awesome group of facilitators in place. Please pray for Sheldon McCartney, Andy Thomaston, Dillon Thornton, Jason Handley, Chris Williams, Vic Walker, Larry Pender, Anita Revis, Royce Handley and Roy Oakes as they break the bread of life and facilitate a real, relevant and relational community.

A note from Larry Pender, Administrator of Flint Hill Christian School

There are a variety of reasons parents have for sending their child to a Christian school, instead of taking advantage of the free public school system. Reasons that have been offered include a safe and wholesome environment, more structure and order, a more challenging curriculum, smaller classes, greater opportunity in athletics, a better peer group, and Christian teachers. These are all good reasons, but I believe there may be more reasons for sending your children to a Christian school. First, children in Christian homes and public schools hear and see two totally opposite world views. At a Christian school, students are grounded in truth and develop a thoroughly biblical worldview. Additionally, a specific Bible doctrine is upheld and taught. Parents know exactly what that doctrine is prior to enrolling their children and agree to their child learning it. And while there are certainly some wonderful and godly people in the public system, for the most part their hands are tied and their influence is limited. The adult role models at a Christian school go to church, read their Bibles, pray, witness, and live a godly life outside the walls of the school. Finally, students learn to love their country and respect their leaders at a Christian school. The pledges are said every morning and patriotic songs are learned and sung many times throughout the school year. Christian school may not be for everyone, but we are thankful for the opportunity made available by Flint Hill Christian School. Since 1975, our school has offered our community a wonderful alternative that promotes Christianity in every way.
