Bruce C. McCartney, Senior

Main Duties/Assignments:
To love God and His people through
preaching His Word and leading the flock at Flint Hill
Baptist Church.
Educational Background:
Graduated from Southeastern Bible
College in Birmingham, Alabama, with a Bachelor of Arts
in Bible.
Continued graduate work at Liberty
Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Family:
Bruce and Patty have been happily
married for over 15 years. His oldest son Sheldon is in
the U. S. Marine Corps and has a beautiful wife Audra.
Their youngest
son Daniel is in the 8th grade and loves all sports and
skating.
Ministry Experience:
After serving 8 years in the United
States Navy, Bruce surrendered to vocational ministry.
After graduating from Southeastern Bible College, he
served as the Associate Pastor at Flint Hill Baptist
Church for 5 years. In June of 2000, Bruce was on a
ministry team that planted a church in Pigeon Forge,
Tennessee. After his one-year commitment to the church
plant was fulfilled, he came back to Flint Hill in June
of 2001 as the Senior Pastor.
Hobbies:
Most of all, Bruce enjoys spending
time with his family. He enjoys watching, playing, and
coaching all sports. In his spare time, he loves
fishing, golfing, and traveling. He loves to have an Italian meal
and drink cappuccino.
Personal Testimony:
Bruce received Jesus Christ as his
personal Savior on Memorial Day of 1990 at the Key West
Baptist Temple in Key West, Florida. Sensing the call
from the Lord, he surrendered to vocational ministry in
April of 1993 at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in
Pensacola, Florida. He was licensed to preach the
gospel in 1996, and ordained to the gospel ministry in
2000.
