Ministries
Praise Team
The Praise Team’s primary responsibility, like the choir, is to lead worship in the Sunday morning worship service. There are three to four teams made up of three to four people each. These teams rotate on a weekly basis. Praise team members must have the ability to sing parts, have a solo-quality voice, and feel comfortable in front of the congregation. Praise team members must also be active in overall church life, and most importantly, have a vibrant relationship with the Lord. The Praise Team rehearses every Wednesday after the worship service.
Audio Team
The audio team is responsible for all audio applications in every worship service. Although the audio team is usually unseen, it is an extremely important ministry. Each worship service is only as good as the person in charge of audio. This team is made up of four to six people who rotate on a weekly basis. Wayne Revis and Doug Nation are the team leaders.
Multimedia Team
The multimedia team is responsible for all multimedia applications in every worship service. This includes Powerpoint for the worship, sermons, photos, and announcements and interactive DVDs. Like the audio team, this ministry is very important, as the church depends on the multimedia team for song lyrics and sermon points. This team is made up of four to six people who rotate on a weekly basis. Larry Pender is the team leader.
Kids Choir
King’s Kids is our childrens choir for kids ages four through sixth grade. The choir rehearses intermittently throughout the year. They perform their annual Christmas program and sing occasionally in the Sunday morning worship service. King’s Kids is directed by Janet Posey.
Musicals
The worship ministry proclaims the good news of the Gospel by performing two musicals each year: one at Easter and one at Christmas. The Christmas musical consists of the adult choir, narration, and soloists. The Easter musical, done on a much larger scale, combines music and drama. With everything from choir and soloists to costumes and lighting, it requires a large part of the congregation. Areas in which you can serve include the choir, drama, lighting, greeters, and parking. This is a great opportunity to get plugged in!
Band
There are always opportunities for service in the FHBC worship band. The band leads worship for almost every service at Flint Hill. Members must be proficient in their instrument(s) and willing to devote a substantial amount of time to personal and group rehearsal. The band rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 830pm and does a final run-through on Sunday mornings at 845am.
